Advice from the founder and executive director of Matrix World Organization, Incorporated.

Here is my "Article 2 Purposes" in my Articles of Incorporation of a non-stock corporation. Any of you starting a non-stock corporation should have one of these and be sure you are clear and concise when writing it.

The mission is to provide technology and wellness services to the Lao-Hmong (LH) community. The purpose of these services are to teach and collaborate with the LH community through the use of technology and wellness techniques. The Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes; to engage in activities related to the aforementioned purposes; to invest in, receive, hold, use, and dispose of property as may be necessary or desirable to carry into effect the aforementioned purposes; provided, however, that all of the above purposes are within the meaning of section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue law.
